Grant Honnold is a dedicated personal injury attorney known for his strategic advocacy, competitive drive, and unwavering commitment to his clients. Raised in a legal household, Grant developed an early appreciation for advocacy and debate under the influence of his father, an attorney. His competitive nature—sharpened through a lifelong bond with his twin brother—evolved into a passion for argument, discipline, and achieving meaningful results for others.
Grant pursued his legal education at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law, where he distinguished himself both in and out of the courtroom. He was a member of the Law Review, demonstrating strong legal writing and analytical skills, and played a key role on the Trial Advocacy Team. His excellence in advocacy was recognized when he and his team won the Missouri State Trial Advocacy Competition. Individually, UMKC Law awarded him the Trial Practice Achievement Award, honoring the student who showed the greatest advancement in trial advocacy skills.
In addition to his academic and advocacy accomplishments, Grant was elected as a Student Bar Association Class Representative, where he helped rewrite portions of UMKC Law’s Constitution—an experience that reflects both his leadership and commitment to improving the legal community.
In his practice, Grant brings a client-first approach to every case. He understands that clients often come to him during some of the most difficult moments of their lives, and he takes that responsibility seriously. As he explains, “The calling to help people during the most stressful moments of their lives is what drove me to pursue personal injury law.” He approaches each case with empathy, attention to detail, and a results-driven mindset, striving to handle every matter as he would expect if he were in the client’s position.
Clients appreciate Grant for his straightforward and honest legal advice, responsiveness, and genuine respect for their concerns. He has built a reputation for being accessible, compassionate, and deeply dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes.
A lifelong resident of Kansas City, Grant grew up on both sides of Stateline Road and attended Rockhurst High School before earning his undergraduate degree from Rockhurst University. His deep roots in the community inform his commitment to serving its people with integrity and care.
Outside the office, Grant maintains an active lifestyle and enjoys running, strength training, and watching movies. He is a passionate supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs and frequently spends time at the dog park with his dog, Captain. He is also a proud and active member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.
